I am blessed to be “Momma” to two energetic little boys & am head over heels in love my hubby of 5 years. All of that keeps me plenty busy, but I also like to plan and decorate for parties, work on personal & family history, & do any type of craft. I’m not a big movie person, but I do like watching Bones, Sherlock, or Studio C while folding laundry at night.
I grew up in rural Illinois, which is where my family is currently located while my husband goes to graduate school. We love it here in the Midwest, and think this is a great place for our stage in life. A perfect day for me would be sleeping in late, getting all dressed up and going on a lunch date with my hubby, hosting a large party for all of our friends and family, snuggling with my boys before bedtime, and then beating my husband in an exciting game of Scrabble.

I'm a stay at home mom to an active toddler, and I take classes for a Masters degree in my "spare" time. My handsome husband of 5 years is an engineer and together we live in New Mexico. As a family we love to hike, camp, bike ride- really anything that takes us outside.
Gretch Valencic
My name is Gretch Valencic. I live in the Midwest with my husband, two bunnies, and two birds. I am an artist by trade, and an amateur connoisseur of all things wildlife, photography, geeky, and stories. I am an easy-going person who loves to learn both academically and spiritually. I love spending my spare time with my bunnies, Myla and Toothless, taking their photos and snuggling in their soft fur.

Hi I'm Day! I feel incredibly blessed to be the wife to an amazing man and a busy mama to 4 children. This year Mr. Amazing and I celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary and our family is complete with 1 daughter and 3 sons. At home we are wrapping up our 4th year of homeschooling. I'm forever grateful for the spiritual prompting I was given (and finally listened,) to homeschool. Having my children home with me is one of the hardest but best decisions I've made as a mother. I'm an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and learning and living the gospel is what my life is all about.
Our family currently lives on the east coast, about 20 minutes from the ocean! As a family, we love to be outside are are biased to the warmer climate. I enjoy learning about self-improvement, self-reliance, psychology and I love collecting quotes. Some of my favorites are: being surrounded with those I love, being in the water, eating ice cream, and snuggles from my children. I am turning over a new leaf of gratitude, I'm striving to see the glass very full! As one of my favorite quotes says, "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it."
Lisa Quick
I'm Lisa Quick and I live in Seattle, WA, with my wonderful, patient husband and 2.8 cute, silly kids. I got my degree in Food Science at Brigham Young University then became a full-time mom and have been constantly working on that "degree" ever since. I love checking the "free stuff" list on Craigslist, reading, being outdoors, gardening, and playing sports.
Carson Center
Hi! I'm Carson Center (yes, kind of like a basketball arena, or a charitable foundation). I'm the wife of an accountant, the mother of a rambunctious one year old, and a passionate thespian. I teach a drama class at Brigham Young University, and I direct a 5-7 year old musical theater group (the little cuties!). In my "spare time" (does this even exist for a mother?!) I enjoy trying new recipes, especially if they involve a holiday theme; randomly breaking into song and dance; and going to the gym.
Alicia Draper
Hi! My name is Alicia. I grew up internationally in Beijing, China for 16 years of my childhood. A few years ago I came to the States to attend college, and after changing my major a couple of times, majored in special education. I am currently working through my first year of teaching, and every day is a new adventure. My husband and I met at college. We dated, got married, and are living our happily ever after.
Camille Whiting
I'm Camille Whiting, originally from Kailua, Hawaii, but I've lived in Utah ever since I started going to BYU. I served a mission in Oklahoma City where I had one companion for an entire year (no, we didn't hate each other, and yes, we still are great friends). I graduated from BYU with a degree in English and a minor in editing. I am currently taking huge advantage of all the monies I spent getting my degree by using absolutely none of it as an an administrative assistant to the financial director of the Missionary Department for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I don't regret any of it though. I loved my time as a student and I love my job now.
I am a serial list-maker, baker, and nap-taker. I have always had a problem filtering what comes out of my mouth, so you know I will give it to you straight. I enjoy reading, painting, and finding out how things work. I'm too curious for my own good.
Kate Birk
Kate often marvels at how lucky she is. She grew up in the beautiful Hawaii, served a mission in Taiwan, went to her dream college, married the most wonderful man, and stays at home with the two cutest kids. Despite all this, her dishes are probably piled in the sink, her make-up only halfway done, and her laundry still needs to be folded, but her family is happy (except for when the two-year-old decides he doesn't want to take a nap).
Cherstin Morris
I grew up in Colorado where I learned to love the outdoors. I went to school and recieved my Nursing licence (RN-BSN). I have two wonderful children and a sweet husband. We love playing and exploring the outdoors together. I am not always the most organized person, but I love creating things, and I love reading and writing. I hope that I can especially instill a love of reading in my children, as it is my personal escape. Welcome to Strength in Charity, I hope you enjoy it.
Kim Peterson
My name is Kim Peterson. I love Peanut M&M's, Swedish Fish, and Cheese. I love spending time with my husband, Eric, traveling, hiking, reading, eating cheese, watching movies, and anything else outside. I currently live in Salt Lake City, UT where I will graduate from the U of U in nursing.
Alyssa Wright
I am currently studying piano performance at BYU-Idaho. I love every baked good, but mostly brownies. Ice cream is the greatest thing ever created. I enjoy running, hiking, and listening to rain curled up on a couch. My knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ is the most incredible gift I have ever received, and I love being able to share what I have learned and what I continue to learn with everyone.
Holly Dartt
I am a mom of 3 children. I still can’t believe I get to say that. My husband and I were married for 11 years before our miracle boy was born. His two sisters followed in short succession. My life is full and crazy and, most of the time, hilarious. Seriously, who are these little comedians I made? I’m often overwhelmed and impatient with my children, but I try to remember that I not only asked for this experience, I frequently begged. I’m married to a wonderful man who gets me and loves me. He also misses the hamper when he throws his socks from across the room and hangs his pants on the back of the kitchen chair. But, that’s marriage. I know his stuff, he knows my stuff, and we still love each other…most days.
In my spare time, I bribe my children with sugar, so I can work on my photography, writing or whatever project I have going. I find these things more interesting than housework, unfortunately. I love to learn, read, bathe (soaking in the tub is a hobby, right?), laugh, and work with my hands. These things recharge my batteries and keep meltdowns to a minimum. I also love to make people laugh, which is why I tell stories in the first place.
Sallie Ferguson
Sallie Ferguson grew up in Mansfield, Texas with two wonderful parents, two brothers, and four sisters. She attended the University of North Texas on a cross country and track scholarship and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Kinesiology. In 2010, she married her husband, Garrett Ferguson, and moved to Lubbock, Texas—a place she never thought she would call home. She taught elementary physical education for two years before having her daughter in 2013. Her recently acquired job as a stay-at-home-mom keeps her busy, but she tries to find time to run, catch up on her favorite Hulu shows, and spend time with friends.

I love people and places! This pretty much sums up my personality, I love the people in my life and I have a deep love of new places. I had a little house on the prairie life up until age ten where as a homeschooled child on a farm I was given a freedom few enjoy. My Father "ruined" my life by telling me he was joining the military, thus started my love of people and places. I have lived in Texas, spent my teenage years in England, went to college at BYU and BYUI and spend summers in Alaska, served a mission in Brazil and am now happy in Orem Utah waiting for my husband to finish school. I have been to a lot of places and seen a lot of things but people, old, young, tall, short, Religious and not, have always been my favorite things about anywhere that I have been. I am newly married and loving it, though I am (mostly) over the gross displays of public affection. I graduated from BYU in Biology with an emphasis (mostly a personal one) in cancer research. My father, the one who "ruined" my life by making me stretch beyond my comfort level, passed away from cancer while I was on my mission. I have learned in the course of my short life that people and our relationships with them are really what the gospel is about, "This is my work and my glory, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man". I have a deep love of the gospel but would say that spiritual laziness is one of my sins (blogs are like confessionals right?) Kendall and I are both surrounded by our families here which like fire, the internet, and pie, is wonderful in the proper amounts. So there are a few of the puzzle pieces that make up my life. I look forward to sharing more and hopefully adding to my list of people that I know and admire.
